It’s good to meet you!
Hi my name is Jeremy Empie – Internet Missionary, Pastor, Teacher, Husband and Lover of God. My goal is to share insights with you that will hopefully help you learn to share your faith with family, friends, co-workers and anyone you come in contact with throughout your day.
I will do this by writing blogs about evangelism, portions of scripture, and sharing personal stories.
You’ll benefit from my 10+ years in full time ministry and from my years living with a severe disability – Cerebral Palsy – which I’ve had since birth.
Where to find my best stuff:
I’d like to invite you to watch some of my previous sermons on YouTube as well as read some of my previous blog posts. I ask that you comment on the blogs you read and subscribe to my blog (RSS OR fill out the form on the right) so you will be alerted when I post new ones.
My Story:
My career began designing websites actually! I started volunteering at a youth outreach center in 1997 and the Director approached me as well as a co-worker about building and maintaining the website for the center. At the time, I had no idea how to build a website but the Director had someone teach us the basics. We had 4 classes and then we started. As time went on, I really started to enjoy webdesign so I thought that I would open a web design company, which I had for five years.
While I was volunteering at the outreach center, I had the opportunity to preach at my middle and high school chapel service starting in the 8th grade. I also started a Bible Club. As I began to minister, people started responding very positively. While building websites, I was heavily involved at churches I attended & would preach where God would open the door.
In 2007, after much prayer I decided to close my web design company and took a job at a small church. This job lasted about 5 months and then I founded Jesus Saves International Ministries Inc.
I continue to design websites on a very part-time basis, however, the majority of my time is devoted to ministering to God’s people on-line.
My Family:
I met my wife, Katie, on-line through e-harmony in 2009 and we were married in 2010. Katie & I serve in ministry together. We enjoy spending time together, traveling and spending time with friends.
